Service User Involvement

Here at New Pathways we ensure that Service User Involvement is central to the improvement and development of the service. Our aim is to have Service User Forums and monthly meetings in order to consult and gain feedback on our services and to meet the needs of our users as individuals.

As well as our Service Ushandyman-volunteerer Forums, we also have various service users in volunteer roles within our organisation. Not only is this a way of increasing their social networks, confidence and feelings of self worth but it is also a way of them gaining work experience and adding to their C.V’s.

One of our more recent volunteer initiative is our “Pay It Forward” scheme within our Property Maintenance Department. Service users who have supported accommodation with New Pathways are now volunteering within the Department to help get properties ready for new service users. Paying it forward, the help they received to the next service users.
